Louboutin 20 Years x Barneys NY Windows

Barneys features Christian Louboutin for his 20th anniversary and his book launch. You can view more about them at Barneys blog, brilliantly titled, The Window. There is a video and their photos but stay for mine, there is more shoe porn here.

In case you're too busy to watch the video, the legs were molded from a model [that's why they look so realistic and fit the shoe so well!] and the second window moves the shoes around via magnets and a motor, the giant head has spinning shoes all around it that spin at different speeds, and the final window is actually 2 windows featuring all black [grrr so hard to shoot!] props and only one pair of legs hidden. Keeping with the motorized themed, the door between the two windows and random drawers open/close.

I was memorized by the shadows and the spinning, there a lot of photos but I'm really into making them into a series or something.

The shoes have custom silver insides, which created the really awesome reflections.

I love this shot so much, had to grab it from my fashionetc story about the windows.

Tod's, Calvin Klein

A quick Sunday post--I wanted to give Barneys their own space on Monday.
Tod's is just on point with the ridiculous window accents, leather leaves, high end watering cans, suede and leather benches?! Lux.



Let's discuss my disappointment in Calvin Klein--what happened? I don't understand.

Juicy Couture S/S 2012

On Thursday night I was invited to check out the Spring Summer 2012 Juicy Couture collection. Now before I am judged terribly, I must say that if you told me 10 years ago I'd be going to anything Juicy, I would have laughed in your face. The brand got that memo and is turning themselves around into a more Tommy Hilfiger on acid vibe than your mall rat tween girl. There will always be tweening with Juicy but as we all know by now, I love to see labels grow and change [obviously for the better, still bitter over Valentino], so I'm willing to give anyone a chance.

The collection was presentation style, meaning the models stood around on platforms waiting to be shot. Yes, that joke will never get old.

There are a lot of photos, so there will be another cut! I'm so into cuts right now, might make it a regular thing, we'll see.

Bergdorf Goodman Mens, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Miu Miu, Dior

Visvim is now available at Bergdorfs, all the hypebeasts have a new spot to grab what look like J. Crew mens basics to me. But what do I know...
