MODELIZING: the art of window shopping: 05/01

Alexander McQueen filled windows with the most decadent decorations possible, you would swear this was a Holiday Window. Bergdorf Goodman honors the late legendary designers' impeccable talent by flexing their own for the Metropolitan's Savage Beauty show. I shot these on Sunday night...while the world found out about Bin Laden, I was being swept into the most dreamy world possible. I spent almost an hour shooting these, I normally shoot Bergdorfs in 20 minutes. Between the news of the world and my own chills honoring a man I have loved dearly since first discovering his talent over a decade ago, I had an out of body experience. I urge every single person in New York to see these and the exhibit as soon as possible, this is art that cannot be ignored. Bravo Bergdorfs. [Yes there are a lot of images, a lot of angles, but I have never been near any of these pieces before and I had to get them every way I could ever dream of. I pray to the fashion gods that I can shoot at the exhibition but it's usually no photos. Can you imagine though? I would seriously be there for 12 hours perfecting every single detail and frame. The final window/collection...I some how didn't cry but I couldn't stop shooting. I've waited to see it in person since the moment it debuted on the runway.

One of the incredible homemade glass hair tributes broke off and landed by the epic titanic heels that my dear friend Vinnie owns. For those just joining me or haven't been around for too long, there was a shoe porn post about them over a year ago when we first met :') I got to try them on and he pranced around them during FNO and met the original model [Tara Gill] who wore them/had her name still in the shoes. Epic my friends, epic. [Yes I tried them on, yes they are amazing, no I did not break my ankle given that I was only able to take 3 steps.]
