Patrick Demarchelier, Adventures in LA

I feel like I need to start another blog because I have so many non window related images that I want to post, unless people don't mind me cross posting off topic. I'm going to start with some images of Patrick Demarchelier at his book signing from a few weeks back in December.

I'm sorry I've been a bit logged with blogging, I think I've just enjoyed not editing through hundreds of images a week for longer than I expected. I'm behind on super kind emails and my actual mail was lost by the post office while I was away and trying to figure out what could have gone missing. Oh life, such a sense of humor.

Women became so insane that someone basically attacked him with a glass of champagne and it broke all over him. LADIES, REMAIN CALM.

And finally Patrick singing a copy of his book for my friend Chrissy of Stylejustice.

Onto some scenery from LA because I'm not ready to post windows just yet, I have no idea why it's so hard for me but it is. I went to the vintage market on Fairfax with my dear friend Jazzi McG and her awesome boyfriend. I was greatly inspired by the endless articles around me and I ended up taking far more images with my blackberry than my actual camera. I guess Biggie is just too heavy to fuss with sometimes! We also stopped by the Santa Monica boardwalk and I remembered so many games from when I lived in LA at the tender age of 7. It always amazes me what seemingly unimportant and random things the memory can store.

Even though I took these images after Christmas, the prizes were still all Christmas related. Unfair!

I'm not scared of clowns but these have always creeped me out to no end. I do love this picture and it might be one of my favorites from LA.

I'm only posting this shot to share the story of how Jazzi claimed it was impossible to throw the balls into the high score brackets because they were so light. I grabbed one and hit 30, Jazzi averaged at the 10 point mark. Just sayinggg...haha

Matthew Charles Gebbert The Gallery

I hope everyone had an incredible end to their year and is having an amazing time in 2010! I'm finally back on the East Coast and currently slaving through future posts about LA, work work work...nothing new!

It was nice to actually detach myself from my blog for 10 days and now I'm almost back in full force. I wanted to do a special post not about windows or LA, but a dear friends amazing apartment. Earlier in 2009, Bergdrof Goodman created a window [with Hunt Slonem] that eerily reminded me of Matthews place. Since then I've been determined to shoot it properly to share its greatness with the rest of the world. A few months back I did a shoot for a separate project [which I can't reveal right now, but I promise this secret project is epic] and here are some of the outtakes I snapped up for my own blog.

Matthews apartment is called The Gallery and he is the ultimate host when it comes to decoration and adult beverages [which are a total waste on me, but I enjoy the pretty bottles and moody lighting.]

I hope you enjoy peaking into a one of a kind space, and someone [coughtbarneysorbergdorfscough] better hire this talented kid.

Also Matthew thought I should note that his apartment is usually almost pitch black [I demanded some sort of lighting] and a note from me that Flickr felt the need to make some of the colours in the images wonky and I'm far too into editing other images to fight with Flickr right now. That is all :)

Matthews Goyard wallet isn't reallllly apart of his apartment but I feel like it summarizes his taste and colour palette perfectly. The wallet was a gift from his dear friend Mariana Martinez. I wish I had friends that gifted me Goyard!

This is just the tip of the iceberg with Matthews incredible vintage [and new] button down collection. I hope to someday break into his apartment and steal half, I doubt he would even notice them missing.

Every epic button down collection needs an equally epic bow tie/tie collection to match, behold the foot of Matthews bed.
