Bergdorf Goodman Holiday 2009

The BEST windows this season. After last years horrid mess of the Four Seasons wtfuckery, Bergdorf Goodman has redeemed itself once again. This years stunning main window theme revolved around Lewis Carroll and his stories/Alice in Wonderland. Not the Disney version but windows based off the book with the most mouth watering how in the hell did they do that?! detailing any one would lose their minds over. Some windows were made entirely of paper, others of glass, and I tried my best to capture the most incredible windows of the season. I'm starting off with the main windows first because why save them for last. The other 2 sides will be posted later this week. This is Bergdorf Goodman week, welcome.

The full version of this window [and the one next to it] will be shot soon, I actually shot the display the first day it went up on Nov 23rd and while the team was still feverishly working everything to perfection. The plaid reflection on the sequins is actually from one of the artists shirts and I had to snap it up.

Made totally out of paper, really think about the work that went into this for a second. Yes it eclipses Tiffany's stunning all paper windows but like honestly, you can't compare the power of The Window Gods to mere mortals.

MCQUEEEEEN! So killer. I know the focus is a bit strange, I was using a borrowed camera and not super used to it. But in exciting news I just got a real DSLR and am getting used to it slowly...so soon I will be unstoppable! Or so I'll try to be.

A last drooling look at this shoe, yes it's different from the runway but no way can runway sell in the real world.

A girl had a similar print scarf on that got in the way of my shot. I wish I was fast enough in metering out the perfect exposure but sometimes there simply isn't enough time.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

For those following my twitter [oh god, I've become one of those] I cryptically wrote out that I was having Breakfast at Tiffany's earlier last week and I wasn't kidding. Tiffany and Co invited their favorite bloggers to a preview of their favorite pieces for the holiday and I was there hungry and camera in hand. The event was incredibly lovely and having all access to the first floor to take photos of any thing I wanted was kind of a big dream come true.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from that deserve their own moment to shine even if they aren't in the outside paper cut out display [which you should check out if you haven't yet over at this post.] I loved that they kept the in store displays in a more modest theme with the decadent outside ones.

At the end of the preview, Tiffany's surprised us with little blue boxes! I was pretty much in shock. The incredibly lovely parting gift was a heart key from their new key collection. I ended up wearing it to the Opera last night along with a stunning necklace that my mom created for me.

I'm not a diamond girl, which surprises everyone ever for some reason [damn my shiny obsession] but I am a nautical girl and this reminded me of ropes, therefore I instantly fell in love.
