Thank you everyone for the sweet comments and emails. Not only do I love what's happening, but I love the interaction! And now everyone is asking me to get a twitter and I'm scared I'll finally collapse under the immense peer pressure. I won't do it! It goes against my ~moral beliefs~ or whatever.
The night I shot these images, Barneys was just finishing up their windows and I developed the courage to write a little message on my Blackberry to compliment the massive improvement from last weeks um...special mess. He agreed that the windows were a mess last week and thanked me for loving this weeks. BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT?! This week Barneys > Bergdorfs. Oh my god, end of world status. But seriously Barneys, more of this and less of whatever that Made in the USA and the Sartorialust yawn thing was.
Barneys loves Details. I love the gritty New York signage accessories.
Lanvin windows! If I can't have a Lanvin store in NY, someone needs to put up a weekly Lanvin window. I appreciate the shared obsession Barneys.
And what goes best next to a Lanvin window?
BALENCIAGA! And what's better than just displaying things? Taking bags and making them into masks, eyes, whatever...so clever. This is where I harassed the window dresser. haha. I'm sure gasping and hopping in place was a normal sight for him.
So luscious! I just decided that luscious is the word of the week.
How clever is this?! I love it. Seriously Barneys, A+
As we all know, I don't use flash [and that includes non-window things as well] but I had to bust out the flash because the lights weren't set up at all and I know how excited all the hipsters...everyone is for Where The Wild Things Are and I thought the display was adorable. And for those keeping track, this is the second time I have ever used flash on a window. The first was last year on Chanel.
